Did you know you can work part time and possibly still be eligible for Social Security disability benefits from the federal government?
In her July 1st PSGCNJ presentation, “When Working is Not Working Out: Social Security Benefits for the Unemployed & Underemployed,” Social Security attorney Sarah Dubinsky will: provide an overview of Social Security disability benefits, discuss problems unique to the underemployed, and explain how to find health care if you don’t have health insurance.
Having worked for the largest legal non-profit in the state, Dubinsky, a former Attorney-Advisor for the Social Security Administration (SSA), also has a background in public benefits and resources for the aged, disabled, and indigent, as well as a background in evictions and other housing matters. In addition, she has experience in property tax appeals, denials, and terminations for Global Options Medicaid.
So, if you’ve got questions, concerns, or issues about Social Security disability benefits, come to the PSGCNJ general meeting on Monday, July 1st. Except for certain holidays, all general meetings are free, open to the public, and held Mondays, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church, located at 48 West High Street, Somerville.
