Managing your finances during a career transition can strike fear in even the most confident professional. The uncertainty around the length of your job search, and the fear of unexpected expenses, can be un-nerving and potentially erase years of savings and efforts to plan for the future.
While in transition, have you ever asked yourself these questions about your finances?
- “How will I tackle retirement planning if I am displaced at an early age?”
- “What do I have to do to recover (financially) from a bad economy?”
- “Now that I’ve been laid off, what financial strategies would a professional recommend?”
If you find yourself grappling with these questions while waiting to land your next job, then don’t miss PSGCNJ’s January 6th general meeting, to be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church, located at 48 West High Street in Somerville.
During the meeting, guest speaker Cary L. Hall, Jr., First Vice President-Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services, Inc., will share his financial expertise in a presentation entitled Financial Planning & Wealth Management while in transition.
During his presentation, Hall, who has over 20 years’ experience in finance, will offer tips and tricks for managing your assets. In addition, he will show you ways to avoid digging yourself into a financial hole. The session will cover:
- budgeting while in transition
- choosing options within a previous employer’s retirement/pension plan
- tax efficient preparation for retirement
- asset allocation, and
- money management
Because of his financial expertise, groups, like PSGCNJ, frequently ask Cary to give a presentation to members.
In his present position, Cary advises individual investors; he has always been passionate about helping clients realize success so they can achieve their financial goals and dreams. He also advises business owners and institutions about various wealth preservation, retirement, growth, and wealth distribution strategies. In the past, he has worked with high-profile clients in the sports and entertainment industries.
